The community of Athens, Georgia is mourning the death of Robby Young, a beloved husband, father, and friend whose passing has left family and loved ones grieving the loss of a man remembered for his kindness, humor, and generous heart.
Originally from Tifton, Georgia, Robby lived in Athens and was married to Lynn N. Young since June 7, 2008. He had been disabled since 2011 and, according to those closest to him, fought a long battle with illness before his passing. Even through those difficult years, he remained a source of warmth and joy to the people around him.
In a heartfelt tribute, Stephanie Yarbrough remembered Robby as a kind man who loved everybody and always found ways to make others feel cared for, including by baking his well-loved pound cakes whenever he could.
