The community of Penllergaer, Swansea, Wales is mourning the death of Clare Henry, a beloved mother and much-loved presence whose passing has left family, friends, and everyone who knew her heartbroken.
Clare passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1 at 7:58 p.m. at Ty Olwen after what her children described as the bravest and longest battle with bowel cancer. In a deeply moving tribute, they said their mother fought with everything she had right until the very end, showing extraordinary courage, strength, and determination throughout her illness. Even in her hardest days, Clare remained the larger-than-life person so many people loved.
Her children remembered her as a woman with a huge heart, a brilliant sense of humour, and a personality that could light up any room. They shared that Clare spent her final days exactly as she would have wanted, surrounded by love, with her children Sami, Finley, and Summer, her beloved mother Lesley, and close friends by her side.
Clare Henry will be remembered in Penllergaer and across Swansea for the joy she brought to others, the laughter she shared, and the lasting love she gave to her family and friends. Though her loss leaves an enormous void, her memory lives on in the stories, love, and unforgettable moments she leaves behind.
